The first and most important thing to say is that no work will be undertaken without an estimate being provided to you, which you then need to agree with before anything starts.  If anything additional is undertaken outside of the work originally quoted for, this will naturally affect the final price, but there’s never any nasty surprises.

Costs

Costs for each job will vary, so please call for a quote.  A typical 12’ x 12’ room would generally take around a day to complete, which will cover full preparation of the room (stripping existing wallpaper, filling in cracks, sanding the walls), then painting the walls as well as the ceiling.  Prices can be affected by ‘surprises’ like the wall quality under existing wallpaper being so poor that a plasterer needs to be called in etc.  But as with anything, how to proceed is always your call.  I’ve had some clients who were happy to call in the plasterer, others asked that I hang lining paper and then paint over that, and I’ve even been asked to leave the walls as they were and paint using a textured product instead!  I can advise you on what I think will work best, but bottom line is its  your house and you will always have the final say on what goes.
